Over​stock​.com Selects View Dynamic Glass for New ‘Peace Coliseum’ Corporate Campus

SALT LAKE CITY & MILPITAS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, Over​stock​.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSTK) and View, the leader in dynam­ic glass, announced that Overstock’s new cor­po­rate cam­pus will incor­po­rate View Dynam­ic Glass. The project marks one of the largest instal­la­tions of View Dynam­ic Glass to date, and View will be deliv­er­ing glass in sum­mer 2015. The use of dynam­ic glass under­scores Overstock’s com­mit­ment to pri­or­i­tiz­ing the well­ness of its employ­ees, while cre­at­ing a lead­ing-edge head­quar­ters that con­tributes to a sus­tain­able planet.

View Dynam­ic Glass elim­i­nates the need for inter­nal blinds and exter­nal shad­ing struc­tures. With View Dynam­ic Glass, Overstock’s employ­ees will be able to stay con­nect­ed to the out­doors and enjoy con­tin­u­ous views of the Wasatch Front moun­tain range and the Salt Lake Val­ley with­out glare or ther­mal dis­com­fort. Overstock’s new cam­pus is referred to as the “Peace Col­i­se­um” because from above it will appear as a peace sign and at ground lev­el is a cor­po­rate glass-and-con­crete ver­sion of the Roman Col­i­se­um. Locat­ed in Mid­vale, Utah, the build­ing is set to open dur­ing sum­mer 2016 and is being devel­oped by Gard­ner Com­pa­ny, built by Okland Con­struc­tion and designed by EDA Archi­tects Inc.
