Amazon Executive to Take CFO Role At Digital Mapping Startup Mapbox

Map­box Inc., a dig­i­tal map­ping start­up approach­ing uni­corn sta­tus, has recruit­ed a finance exec­u­tive from an Ama​zon​.com Inc. sub­sidiary to serve as its chief finan­cial officer.

Nitin Agraw­al, the for­mer finance chief in the com­pute-ser­vices divi­sion at Ama­zon Web Ser­vices, is sched­uled to start as Mapbox’s CFO on Aug. 5. Before join­ing Ama­zon in 2015, Mr. Agraw­al worked in finance at Microsoft Corp. and, before that, in invest­ment bank­ing at Bear Stearns Cos.
